Elvet Chartered Surveyors specialise in measured surveys and employ a professional team of experienced surveyors and architectural technicians who are proficient in the production of accurate floor plans, elevations, cross-sectional details, 3D models; and Building Information Modelling (BIM).

We are fully conversant with Autodesk Revit® and CAD applications, which we employ to quickly produce accurate as-built design information of both small-scale projects and large, complex buildings and structures. Moreover, if dictated by the client, we can harness the full power of the software to create impressive, high impact rendered designs and 3D visualisations.

Furthermore, Elvet Chartered Surveyors have evolved with the growing appetite for 3D digital scanning within the industry and are able to provide registered point cloud information within our service offering.  

Within our project delivery, we adopt the methodology outlined in the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors; Measured Surveys of Land, Buildings and Utilities guidance and adhere to the International Property Measurement Standard (IPMS).

We are experienced in producing detailed design documentation to obtain approval for planning applications, listed building consent and Building Regulations; so whether you are planning a refurbishment, restoration or extension we have the in-house skills and expertise to help you achieve your vision.

FAQs

In what drawing format will my measured survey be produced?

Elvet Chartered Surveyors subscribe to a suite of Autodesk® products (e.g. CAD, Revit etc.) ensuring that we can provide the measured survey information to our clients using a range of widely compatible drawing formats. Similarly, we can easily convert all files to PDF documents for greater accessibility and ease of use. Should you have a preferred drawing package or any other specific requirements please don’t hesitate to get in touch and one of our advisers will be happy to help.

How long will it take to undertake the measured survey?

The time taken to complete the survey will vary depending upon the size and complexity of the building or site. If you can please add any time critical milestones which must be achieved to successfully deliver your project, we can effectively evaluate your requirements and assign appropriate resource to ensure your programme is achieved.

Can I receive a hard-copy of the drawings?

Elvet Chartered Surveyors can arrange the print and distribution of hard-copy drawings; however, this will usually incur an additional service charge. To receive a competitive quotation for printing; please contact our customer service team.

Do I need to move furniture in advance of the survey?

Where feasible our surveyor will endeavor to work around the building owner’s furniture and possessions to capture all necessary measurements; however, should any obstruction be encountered limiting the survey, the client will ultimately be responsible and additional fees may be incurred where a return visit is deemed necessary.

Do I need to be present during the survey?

No. Provided all areas to be surveyed are accessible and free from obstructions we can undertake the survey in isolation and report our findings upon completion.
